Homer Simpson, Jay Leno tweets to get viewers

The debate on how powerful twitter can be as a marketing tool continues, but based on Dell’s release that it made $3 million off the microblogging site enhances the credibility of the site as a potential game changer in online marketing.

Homer Simpson and Jay Leno have joined the fray. Together with other TV characters and celebrities on various networks, The Simpsons and Leno’s show are being heavily promoted on the social network site. The goal (obviously) is to create awareness and buzz for their coming fall schedules.
